Teaching AP content through quick skill based activities. You will learn how to incorporate First Five Activities as well as evaluating art to get the most out of your classroom time.
This session is designed to help middle school social studies teachers enhance the rigor in their lessons. Teachers will explore key components of rigorous instruction, including fostering higher-order thinking, promoting student autonomy, and using complex, open-ended questions. Teachers will collaborate to design a rigorous lesson component and leave with practical tools to implement in their classrooms, driving deeper engagement and critical thinking.
In this session we will discuss how to instill the necessary knowledge and skill set for 9th graders to be successful in an AP class. The session will focus on our Unit 0 foundations and how to teach an FRQ.
